The people of Lebanon have again been suddenly been thrust into a crisis through no fault of their own. Attacks on the south of the country have left more than 600 dead – of which many are children, around 700 wounded and more than 800,000 who have fled their communities in the south of the country to seek relative safety where they can find it. This figure is expected to rise as the conflict continues.
The city of Beirut, the towns of Nabatieh and Tyre, and the Bekaa Valley are bearing the brunt of the attacks. Residents of these areas are fleeing North to relative safety, with only the clothes on their backs. In a country already suffering economic turmoil and lacking in disaster response resources, we are asking you to join with us in helping our brothers and sisters who find themselves in this desperate situation.
