In August 2025, devastating monsoon rains and sudden cloudbursts have unleashed catastrophic flooding across Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and Kashmir. Entire communities have been swept away by flash floods and landslides, with homes, roads, and bridges destroyed. In Buner district alone, hundreds of families have lost loved ones. The disaster has claimed hundreds of lives, left thousands injured or displaced, and triggered a humanitarian emergency on a massive scale.

Rescue efforts are ongoing, but access to remote valleys remains extremely difficult. Survivors are in desperate need of clean water, food, medical care, and shelter. With further heavy rain expected in the weeks ahead, the risk of renewed flooding and landslides remains high, and the urgency to act has never been greater.

Our Pakistan emergency relief team is on the ground now in the Muzaffargarh region of the country building flood relief camps for communities that have been severely affected by the flooding.
