Our Eco-Village Project in Santhia Upazila, Pabna District, Bangladesh is more than a development initiative—it is a strategic investment in climate‑resilient housing in Bangladesh. This transformative project will empower 15 landless families to build dignified, self-sufficient lives through environmentally responsible practices and community-driven innovation.
At its core, the eco-village serves as a scalable model for rural development, using natural and recycled materials to construct homes, farm infrastructure, and community facilities. The village will produce organic food and fertiliser, reduce environmental impact, and demonstrate how sustainable living can address both social and ecological challenges.
The above facilities will support income generation through homestead gardens, small farms, and skill-building cottages. Green practices like rainwater harvesting, energy efficiency, and responsible waste management are encouraged. Additionally, the farm infrastructure will provide sustainable agriculture with organic vegetable gardens and eco-friendly farming methods for livestock.
Your support will provide lasting change. By investing in this project, you are not just helping 15 families—you are contributing to a blueprint for resilience that can be replicated across Bangladesh and beyond.
In parallel, our Fundraising Leadership Program engages and empowers young leaders to champion sustainability, advocate for climate-conscious development, and mobilise local and international support. Together we can build a movement rooted in collaboration, innovation, and impact.
This is your opportunity to be part of something bigger.
Join us in creating a future where communities thrive in harmony with nature—where every donation helps protect the planet, uplift lives, and move us closer to achieving our sustainable development goals.
Human Relief Foundation Director, Dr Nabeel Al Ramadhani visited the sustainable housing initiative in Pabna District in May 2025, as part of his wider tour of HRF's Bangladesh rural sustainability work. He got a first hand view at the work in progress and the future construction talking place at the site.
