We are urgently raising funds to cover an entire year of rent for these widows and their children. One year of dignity, protection, and hope.
Since 2015, Human Relief Foundation has given support to Dar As-Salaam, a humble shelter in Saida, Lebanon that has become a safe haven for 10 Palestinian and Syrian refugee widows and their children.
Over the years, we have visited the shelter countless times with our volunteers, sat with these mothers, shared their stories, and witnessed up close the strength they show despite deep hardship.
We share this urgent plea with heavy hearts. Dar As-Salaam is closing its doors at the end of August 2025.
These families, women and their young children who have already lost so much, will have nowhere else to go. They will be forced onto the street, vulnerable, frightened, and forgotten.
We urgently need your help to rehouse these widows and their children in safe and secure accommodation.
Time is short. Your action, your donations are required immediately.
In Islam, the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter.” (Muslim)
Donate now to give them safety, security and hope. Be a mercy to them, so Allah may be merciful to you.
