Morocco Earthquake Emergency Appeal

Morocco Earthquake Emergency Appeal

Late Friday evening, 8 Sept will be remembered by many Moroccans as a deadly and life-changing evening, as a magnitude 6.8 earthquake brought devastation to the country’s Marrakesh-Safi region.

Casualty statistics read nearly 3,000 dead with approximately 5,500 people injured, more than half critically hurt.

The damage from the quake has been devasting. Homes and portions of the city wall in the nation’s capital, Marrakesh have collapsed, leaving families trapped beneath the debris.

Nearby towns in rural areas took the worst of the earthquake’s destructive terror. The towns of Amizmiz, Tafeghaghte, Adassil and Imil have been severely decimated.

A landscape of devastation, collapsed buildings, shattered lives has emerged from the settling dust. Communities have been broken.

On the ground in Morocco

We’re working with our partners on the ground right now in Amizmiz - Al Haouz Provinceto bring essential food aid and shelter to those who have lost homes and livelihoods. Our first aid delivery took place over the weekend of the 16th & 17th September, working with regional partners, Fail Khair Beni Mellal. Take a look below to see what we've delivered so far.

Using our knowledge, expertise and partnerships built up from over 30 years of delivering humanitarian aid around the world, Human Relief Foundation is ready to respond further to this tragedy.

We know that the humanitarian assistance doesn't end after the first aid delivery. There are weeks, months, if not years of rebuilding lives and communities to come. We'll be there every step of the way

We can only do this effectively with your generous donations.

A single donation of £50 can provide immediate relief in the form of hot meals, water and first aid, to those who have lost everything.

A donation of £100 or more can provide shelter, mattresses and blankets to communities whose homes are been reduced to rubble.

Please give generously to enable us to provide communities in Morocco immediate relief and hope for a brighter future.

Your Donation. Our Work. Their Prayers Answered. We Are All HRF.
