As we prepare ourselves and our families for another cold winter that is on the horizon, many families in Syria brace themselves for the colder weather with temperatures dropping every day without the aid of sufficient food, clothing and shelter.

As we prepare ourselves and our families for another cold winter, many families in Syria brace themselves for the colder weather with temperatures dropping every day without sufficient food, clothing or shelter.

Since the conflict in Syria began in 2011, over an estimated 230,000 people have lost their lives as a consequence of the ongoing war and violence. Around 4 million Syrians have managed to flee the country and seek refuge in Europe and across the world, in addition to the thousand or so that continue to leave Syria on a daily basis.

Those who have managed to survive and flee the conflict are in desperate need of our help, many of which are seeking refuge in Jordan – which is home to one of Human Relief Foundation’s offices.

We are actively working alongside those seeking refuge to help them with their basic necessities such as accommodation, medical aid, nourishment, warmth and shelter in the lead up to the winter months.

Our aim is to continue supporting these individuals and families in need to best assist them throughout these cold, harsh winter months. In order to do this, we need your continuous help and support.

Here in the UK, our children have recently gone back to school - a free education that is a privilege for all. However, we must remember those children who have no access to education or learning at all because they had to leave their homes and everyday lives behind.

You can help HRF in providing many of these children with learning essentials such as uniform, stationary and books in order to help them continue their education despite recent setbacks.

We are running a number of campaigns currently, allowing you to choose how much and what cause you would like to contribute towards.

For example, a donation of just £15 can provide winter blankets for those facing a winter without a home; £25 can provide learning materials or medical aid to families in need of these basic necessities, and £60 can provide food packs for many refugees that would otherwise be undernourished and left hungry.

Alternatively, you can donate towards the Syria Emergency Relief fund which aims to distribute your donation to wherever the need is greatest.
