Malnourished children in Yemen

Our work in Yemen has opened our eyes to the terrible and often life threatening situations faced by many of Yemen’s children. Malnutrition, conflict, disease, poverty, and very limited healthcare facilities make these children’s lives dangerously unbearable.

We have launched a separate appeal for those who would like their donations to go directly to children and babies of Yemen.

According to UNICEF; “nearly 2.3 million children under the age of five are projected to suffer from acute malnutrition in 2021. Of these, nearly half a million are expected to suffer from severe acute malnutrition and could die if they do not receive urgent treatment. In addition, around 8.5 million children do not have access to safe water, sanitation, or hygiene.”

Zadia's story

Now under the care of Human Relief Foundation, baby Zadia and her family thank you for your donations.

Zadia came to us when she was ten months old. Weighing just 400grams - just over 14 ounces - she is sadly disabled and was suffering from malnutrition.

Human Relief Foundation has worked towards finding Zadia and her family an apartment close to the hospital, and provided food and money for a minimum of six months to potentially save her life.

There are millions of children like Zadia, donate today so that together we can reach as many as possible.
