Human Relief foundations have been changing millions of lives across the world for 25 years. We have fed the hungry, provided healthcare to those suffering, put orphans and young widows into education, and replaced dirty, unsafe water with high quality hand pumps. Human Relief foundation work is focused on four main areas: Emergency and Disaster Response and Preparedness, Development Cooperation, Conflict Transformation, and Orphan Sponsorship.
Finance assistant will be under the supervision of the finance analyst and reporting to the finance manager. Finance assistant role would be to carry out day to day administration. This will involve data inputting of cash receipts/donations on SAGE 50, petty cash, banking, maintaining excel spread sheets. Providing support with various tasks including payroll and SAGE 50 transactions.
Maintain the Debtors Ledger on SAGE 50, including inputting all receipts/donations
Ensure all purchase invoices and expenses are authorised and coded correctly, including staff expenses. Undertaking any other reasonable duties as may be determined by the line manager
Skills and experience -Essential
Relevant accounting qualification working towards AAT or similar or the ability to demonstrate appropriate skills and knowledge
Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication
Knowledge of Word and Excel
Experience of SAGE 50
Some experience of SAGE payroll
Some experience of designing spread sheets
24 hours per week, must have a flexibility to work Monday & Friday and another day in the week
Holidays per rota
