On 29 May, a severe cyclone storm hit Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and neighbouring areas, destroying livelihoods and forcing people out of their homes.
The death toll continues to increase and communities have been destroyed due to the severity of the weather.
HRF’s relief team are on the ground and are working tirelessly to make sure families receive the emergency food provisions they need.
"The team have been distributing to those living under the poverty line and Rohingya refugees. We will do what we can to provide emergency aid to those affected but we can only do this with the help of the public."
- Kassim Tokan, Deputy CEO
One of the worst affected areas is around the port of Cox's Bazaar, which has a large number of Rohingya refugees who have fled persecution in Burma.
